Fuzer (plural fuzers) - noun - A nano-wired individual where the wiring has become faulty or "fuzed".
id est - Latin - ‘that is to say’; commonly abbreviated to i.e.
Kuiper Belt - a border of icy chunkiness that surrounds the local Earth solar system. NASA link to information about the Kuiper Belt.
Nano - prefix - Used to denote something as being extremely small, smaller than the human eye can see (unless an awful lot of nano-things get clumped together until their mass becomes visible).
Panopticon - noun - a prison where prisoners cannot escape observation. check Wikipedia
Psionic - adj - denotes the use of psychic powers.
Psionic - noun - a person who has psychic or paranormal abilities. Often shortened to psi.
RNA - Ribonucleic acid or DNA's lesser known cousin. Wikipedia explanation.
Speck - verb - coll. as one gets further and further from something in space it appears to get smaller and smaller, thus becoming a speck. Eg. Earth specked as we passed Saturn.
Snakeskin - coll. noun - A colloquial term for the material spacesuits are made of after about the 22nd Century CE. Dubbed so for the millions of overlapping plates that create an impervious barrier ot the vacuum and radiation of outer space.
Space-based - adj. - Ships or obects that never have to pass into a planet’s atmosphere.
Species - noun - A a group of organisms that can swap genes and breed.
Symbiotic - adj - when two things, typically organisms, lve closely together and interact, usually to mutual benefit.
Weave - noun - The man-made collection of datastreams and gizmo-links that surrounds the Earth and extends throughout much of the local solar system.
